General Manager – McLarens on the Corner
Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per year DOE plus TRONC and Quarterly Bonus
McLarens on the Corner is entering an exciting new phase.
With sales up over +30% year-to-date, the opportunity here is huge. We’re looking for a General Manager who can take that momentum and turn it into something long-term, sustainable, and genuinely special — a venue that sits at the heart of its community and delivers consistently brilliant experiences.
This isn’t about maintaining standards. It’s about raising them.
We need someone who can build and lead a strong, stable team, create energy in the building, and bring fresh ideas that keep McLarens moving forward.
The Role
Leadership & Team Building
You’ll recruit, develop and lead a team that people want to be part of.
Creating a positive, high-performance culture where standards are clear, energy is high, and people are proud of what they do.
Driving the Next Phase
You’ll take a site with real momentum and shape what comes next.
Bringing ideas, owning initiatives, and making sure McLarens continues to grow — not just in sales, but in reputation and consistency.
Operational Excellence
You’ll run a tight operation across all departments — bar, kitchen and floor — ensuring quality, pace, and standards are delivered day in, day out.
Community & Guest Experience
McLarens has always been a neighbourhood venue at its core.
You’ll build on that — creating a space people return to time and again, where service is warm, personal and memorable.
Financial Performance
You’ll understand the numbers and use them.
Driving revenue, controlling costs, and making smart decisions that maximise profitability without compromising the guest experience.
Standards, Compliance & Safety
You’ll ensure everything is done properly — safely, legally, and consistently — while never letting that get in the way of delivering a great experience.
What We’re Looking For
- A proven leader who can build, motivate and retain great teams
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a General Manager at a site with weekly turnover of £30k or more
- Someone with high standards who takes real pride in how a venue looks, feels and performs
- A personality that is warm, visible and engaging — with both guests and team
- A strong operator who understands the detail but can also think bigger picture
- Someone with ideas, energy and drive — who wants to make a mark on a venue
- Financially aware, commercially sharp, and comfortable owning performance
